Welcome to the Wolkoffwiki on Learning and Development for parents! This is an opportunity to ask questions, and to share thoughts, ideas, and impressions.

One of the challenges of parenting is the isolation we feel as our children go through the stages of childhood and adolescence. When we feel isolated, we can easily feel demoralized, which, ironically, makes it more difficult for us to parent. Talking to other parents, we realize that people we respect have had similar struggles and we can feel so relieved!! Yet these opportunities are not frequent enough for many of us. It is my hope that this wikipage can help to make parents feel more supported, less isolated, and to avail ourselves of concrete strategies to address some of the challenges inherent in parenting.

Please use this space to speak as openly as you are comfortable about your experiences parenting your children and to share resources and ideas. It's easy! Look to the left of this page and note the topics already created. Please comment on any of these pages or create your own page on a topic of your choice. All information is anonymous; there is no need to share your identity unless you wish. I request only that you refrain from using children's names.

Please remember that this is a new forum and I will be learning how to use it along with you. I look forward to sharing ideas with you!!
